Thinking of buying a coffee machine? Consider a few things before making the purchase. Keep the overall requirement you intend to cater to; the number of persons who would use the coffee machine and how many cups in total per day would be a great way to start.
If it is just two cups a day for home purposes, then a smaller level coffee machine is the ideal choice. This will ensure no wastage and will make sure an accurate amount of coffee is available whenever you need it. The 2-cup coffee machine, which gives two cups of coffee at a time is most suited for couples.
If intending to buy a coffee machine for your office, then a 10-12 cup machine is ideal. These machines save time and energy, and makes coffee for everyone with little or no effort at all.
Go for a 100-120 cup machine for large organizations or restaurants, or even for coffee shops. Even if you feel like splurging, don’t even consider these for home use, as they would be an apparently unsuitable choice to make. Commercial coffee machines, giving 40-100 cups are also available in the market.
Coffee machines come in a variety of sizes and specifications. You can even choose one by the size of cup you like. Keep in mind the number of people who would use your coffee machine on a daily basis. Your budget should also give you an indication of what type of coffee machine to purchase.

Hobbies are wonderful ways of spending your free time constructively. Clay modelling is lots of fun. Even if you’ve never tried it before or think yourself artistically challenged, that’s ok. It’s a relaxing hobby and when you do create something funky, you can show it off to your friends!
An inexpensive hobby, clay modelling requires a lot of patience. Practice makes perfect rings true to this hobby. Things you’ll need to start include:
- Clay
- A bucket
- A mug
- Needles
- Forks
- A thin wire
- A wooden spatula
- A knife
- Water colours
- Paint brushes
There are so many different ways to model clay. Just keep experimenting. If your first attempt ends up looking like a lump of clay and nothing fancy, don’t be disappointed. Each attempt will only make you better. Once you’ve got the hang for it, try making clay models with delicate features. These models are supported by wires, and are slightly more complicated to make. Small, stuffed, solid clay models are really the easiest to make, while a hollow model is also possible.
Once you’ve mastered the art, you’ll realize how this hobby is wonderfully relaxing. Watching the clay take shape in your hands is a great feeling. Get creative with it. Turn your creation into a work of art. Paint it, give it some character. This is a ‘must-try’ hobby. Take it up and soon, you’ll be turning out pieces of fine art.

Turning 50 is a landmark occasion in one’s life. A cause for celebration! Here are a few ideas to get you started.
A 50th birthday would be a great way to throw a ‘destination’ party. Research online, find cheap tickets to a fabulous beach or mountain range, and fly close family and friends for the celebration. International destination parties are fast becoming popular, and travel companies compete to find the best, most affordable and exciting packages for vacationing groups.
If you don’t want to go away, that’s fine. Pick your Dad’s favourite restaurant and invite his closest friends and family members. Talk to the restaurant and see what you can do to make the event more special. Hire a live band, run a slideshow of your dad, make speeches, etc. Another excellent option would be sending your parents away on a mini-vacation. Book them into a nearby luxury hotel, get them a suite, send up the masseuse and perhaps even throw a small party by the pool.
‘Wish fulfilment’ is another great way to celebrate a landmark event like turning 50. Think of something you or your parent always wanted to do or learn. Perhaps ride a bike, learn to paint or even hike. And top it all off with a small party. A dinner party or barbeque for close friends is yet another way to celebrate turning 50. Try to work in a fun theme, like an 80’s theme or even a luau. After all, you only turn 50 once in a lifetime!

As one of the few banks to provide information on its efforts to help homeowners facing foreclosure, Citigroup has become a bellwether of sorts within the industry to see the state of mortgage refinancing. According to the latest information, refinancing is still on the rise as the Wall Street Journal says Citigroup’s mortgage mitigation has risen 29 percent in the last quarter.
In the second quarter of 2009, Citigroup worked with just over 100,000 homeowners with loans originally valued at more than $16 billion to avoid foreclosure. That’s a 90 percent increase over mortgage mitigation rates from the same quarter in 2008. Citigroup also originated 32 percent more new mortgages in the past quarter, due in large part to lower mortgage rates.
The increased demand for mortgage financing might mean a shortage of mortgage insurance, as the Orange County Register reports that the Mortgage Insurance Cos. of America is seeking capital assistance to deal with increased demand.
