Looking for design

The Author of this post is Cheryl Martinez

Interior design has long been a passion of mine, and last year I decided it was time to officially make the jump to a new career. I’d been working these dead end jobs just to pay the bills, so I found some information about mobile internet and was soon looking for jobs in the comfort of my own home. It’s harder than you’d think finding an opening in the design industry, and for now my search is pretty limited to looking for apprenticeships and internships with design houses I’m particularly fond of. I know I won’t get paid much in the beginning, but after a few months of hoard work hopefully I’ll be able to wiggle my way into a full-time job. Afterall, I have the interior design degree, all I need is a little experience to get myself started. My ultimate goal is to own my own design shop, but searching for open positions online is the first step in making that dream a reality! Connections are being made daily, so I know something’s going to pan out soon.

The Importance of Metal Powder

Metal powder. While it might not seem like much to civilians, there are several industries, such as the photocopy, chemical, welding, brazing, electromagnetic, and metallurgical industries that rely heavily on this product due to the fact that it is an integral element in production.

Another industry that is dependent on these materials is the automotive industry in the form of pressed and sintered parts, mostly consisting of iron.

Think about it from the supplier’s perspective. With a great need for ferrous powders and other related items, such as the iron catalyst and magnetic ink and paint, finding an organization that supplies these materials at the best rates possible, along with the highest quality, becomes a priority.

Since this form of iron powders are so crucial to the workings of the aforementioned industries, you can imagine what will happen if a steady supply of these quality materials aren’t obtained from the manufacturer. Additionally, paint pigments are also vital to the industry of ‘colors’, so to speak, and it is just as important to produce these materials that are required for the manufacture of paints.

Some of these materials have become an absolute essential to most industrial and automotive tasks, but with the process of research and development, the wear-resistance of these materials is also improved.

Not only does this improve the longevity and durability of the product in question, but will in turn impact the purpose it is used for in a positive manner and it is best to be associated with companies that spend a good amount of their profits in improving their product in this field.

All in all, if you didn’t know how important metal powder is to modern-day industries, think again!

Reasons Why Paid Employee Background Checks are Preferred

With the saying “nothing comes for free” applicable at all levels of life in today’s world, there is no doubt that this also applies to the concept of free tenant and employee background checks. While the internet has spawned several websites that offer free searches, not all crimes are on public record and the details that are required to make adequate judgments might not be available either.

Here are a few reasons why paid background checks work:

Reason #1: You get comprehensive information when you pay

As is true with any service, the amount you pay determines the level of service that you receive. Take, for example, criminals that are smart at hiding their identities! You can be sure that with the basic information that you can get from free sites, their several identities will not be available. However, a paid service can get you adequate and comprehensive information that will help you identify these people who are good at hiding their past.

Reason #2: Access to county, state, and federal records

If you have to perform an employee or tenant credit check using a free site, you should know that the access to county, state, and federal records of criminals and other individuals aren’t available at these sites, but are easily accessible when you run a paid background search.

Reason #3: Outdated information

In more cases than not, whether you are looking for someone’s driving records or even their credit report information, you can’t be sure whether you are looking at information that is the latest using a free background check as opposed to a paid background search. There should be no doubt that compiling a professional report for your company or for renting out your home is far more beneficial than a free report.

How to Change a Wall or Ceiling Mount Residential Air Filter

Changing your residential air filter once every month is a priority that you just cannot ignore. Since it is absolutely vital for your family to breathe clean air, not only will it protect their health, but you will ensure that the heating or air conditioning system does not break down due to the extra effort that is required to process clean air. If that’s not enough, not changing your air filter will end up costing you extra in the use of electricity.

Air filter

Here are a few steps to follow in order to change a wall or ceiling mount air filter:

Step #1: You’ll need a step-stool or a ladder if the air filter is a wall or ceiling mount type of filter. Before you do anything, the first thing to do is to remove the tabs which hold the grill panel in place.

Step #2: There are two types of filters that are used in these systems – one that is a reusable filter or one that needs to be replaced. One example of the former is the brand of Filtrete air filters that can be used for three months in a row, and all you will need to do is clean it in the bathtub or by using a hose. If you need to get the filter replaced, you will have to procure one from either your hardware store or, better still, from online sites that offer these filters at excellent prices.

Step #3: In the case of the reusable filter (that is easily available if you look for 3M or Filtrete air filters), ensure that it is dry before you put it back into the air conditioning or heating unit. If you are replacing a new filter, then check for instructions in the manual that you might have received with the unit itself. Also remember to dust the grill before you put it back and also remember to put the tabs back into place.

Ashton Kutcher Takes Over for Sheen

Ashton Kutcher is set to take over for Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men.” Sheen was fired from the show in March because of erratic behavior. Currently he’s touring the country with a traveling show called “My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option.”

But, returning to Demi Moore’s husband, the news about Ashton Kutcher was confirmed by CBS and Warner Bros. Television. Kutcher himself has said: I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes…I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”

He’s expected to take home a “huge payday” for his efforts.

His new bosses, Chuck Lorre — the creator and executive producer of “Two and a Half Men” — among them, have nothing but praise to say: “We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family…Added to that is the deep sigh of relief knowing that our family stays together. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal.”

Sheen’s almost-replacement was none other than Hugh Grant. He declined the offer, much to the disappointment of more than a few. But so far, and according to the people involved, Kutcher’s introduction into the show is expected to be a success.

Kutcher is familiar to TV viewers because of his role as Michael Kelso on “That 70’s Show,” and the production work he did on MTV’s “Punk’d.” Network and studio bosses are hoping that Kutcher’s big Twitter following (6.7 million) will translate into high ratings for the show. Kutcher seems to be plainly aware of some of the expectations that are being tacked on to him.

Kutcher played coy on the news Thursday. “I’m starting to become convinced that people put my name in articles just to improve their SEO or hoping I’ll tweet it,” he wrote on Twitter.

Real Looking Fake Grass

Fake-grass

Having a lawn full of fake turf grass, that both feels and looks like green plastic sticking out of the ground, can turn some people off.  This is why many do not consider turning their lawn artificial. What they do not realize is that many manufacturers have attempted to address this issue through personalized customization of each lawn in both color and style while also providing infillings, fake soil, for each of their lawns.

Whether these same individuals do or do not look down at fake turf is not really the question.  The real question is whether they will notice if it is fake or not.  Synthetic lawns are no longer those stiff green stems from the football fields, but rather a complex series of monofilament fibers designed to look like natural cut grass.  These fibers can be designed in patches, bent, trampled, and curved for style, and dyed light or dark shades of brown to give them a real and full look that will easily fool one’s neighbors.

If those same neighbors decide to take off their shoes to run around and play sports on all the artificial lawns surrounding the house they still will not notice that all the grass below them is fake.  This is because these lawns can be filled with Infill.  This is a set of sand and/or crumbled rubber particles that are distributed throughout the lawn to give it that real feel under one’s feet. This same material also helps to naturally bend the grass adding a more natural look.

So, while synthetic grass is still fake, no one will notice, and this is all thanks to these new and sleek natural designs provided by artificial turf manufactures.

Trends to Keep in Mind When Buying Table Cloths

Whether you are buying table cloths for a special occasion or otherwise, the general trend these days is to find tablecloths that will really stand out in a dining room. Of course, the basic function of a tablecloth hasn’t really changed all that much over the years in serving as a cover for the table.

However, tablecloths are now being designed in bold color and with heavy fabrics in order to keep up with the times. And if that’s not enough from an aesthetic point of view, you will find that table overlays , which are available in a host of color and shapes, can also add to the décor as well.

When it comes to round tablecloths, one observable trend is the comeback of vintage patterns in the form of old-fashioned Art Deco or Art Nouveau patterns, or even bright, geometric patterns from the 1970s. Despite the fact that these designs and patterns are mass-produced, they will still give an impression of being found in a secondhand shop.

Another important trend is that of using material to make tablecloths that will not get dirtied or messed up easily, and if you must use the best tablecloth (say, for a special occasion such as a dinner party) then a PVC or vinyl coated covering might just do the trick. It will also be a good idea to purchase a cover chair or two that will match the color of your tablecloth for the evening, considering that it is an accepted trend for special occasions.

Finally, it’s most important to remember to purchase round tablecloths made of new material instead of vintage ones, as they will be easier to maintain and the dyes used for newer designs of table cloths will last longer.
